San Diego > Getting Around

Perhaps page shouldn’t really be associated with the usual “inside” information with which we usually provide users. However, traveling with such knowledge is useful nonetheless—and is often overlooked even by frequent travelers. Although the following information is rather encyclopedic, a smart traveler can take advantage of it if needed, and thus it merits mentioning.

No Rental Car:

There are several options available for getting around town. Of course, there’s always the ever-expensive taxi ride. This is fine if you need a quick ride from A to B, but if you’re looking to visit several locations in a day, or you’re in town for an extended period of time, taking cabs everywhere can put quite a dent in your wallet.

San Diego provides an excellent public transit system, including the San Diego Trolley and Coaster. And rather than me giving a second-hand explanation on how to take advantage of the city’s transportation system, you can get it from the people who run the show. So, to find out more just visit the Metropolitan Transit System's official website.
