Overview
Located along the San Diego Bay in the downtown area, Seaport Village consists of about 14 acres of paved and cobblestone waterfront, offering a unique harborside setting of shopping, dining, entertainment and leisure opportunities. Along with beautiful scenery, visitors will find 75 one-of-a-kind shops. Stroll the water’s edge as you peruse a variety of handcrafted gifts, local art, crafts and more. Children can ride an antique carousel, while adults can discover a wonderful selection of San Diego mementos.
After a day of exploring the many shopping opportunities, visitors can refuel at one of the four major restaurants or 13 eateries. The cuisine at Seaport Village represents all tastes, including traditional seafood, continental, Californian, Italian, Greek, Mexican, deli, ice cream and more. Visitors can dine seaside at either a fine-dining establishment such as the award-winning Harbor House, or catch a quick bite to eat at an eatery like Buster’s Beach House & Longboard Bar, just to name a couple.
Seaport Village is situated along the Embarcadero
Marina, a quarter-mile-long boardwalk that connects Seaport Village and the nearby Convention Center with the actual
Embarcadero—home to the Star of
India, San Diego Maritime Museum, and many of the city’s water excursions.
The Embarcadero Marina is actually a tongue of land that reaches into the San Diego Bay, hugging the shiny white boats moored at the edge of the Village.
Visitors can enjoy a swath of entertainment at Seaport Village, including everything from live blues bands, to swing dancing and jazz, to magicians, fortune-tellers, mimes and more. Simply call the events line at (619) 235-4013 to find out what’s in sync with your visit.
